(March 7, 7:00-9:00 p.m.; Hofstra Observatory, Hempstead, NY)

Hofstra University’s “Stars on Sundays” series allows participants to use telescopes for star-gazing while learning about the universe from college astronomers. Hofstra invites kids of all ages to view Saturn, Mars, nebulae and star clusters with a telescope from the Hofstra Observatory. The program always begins with Tonight’s Sky from the Space Telescope Science Institute/Amazing Space. The Observatory is located on the 4th floor of Berliner Hall (Chemistry and Physics Building), California Avenue at Huntington Place, two blocks south of Hempstead Turnpike.
