GLOBE PARTICIPATES IN NATIONAL LAB DAY 2010

(National Lab Day, May 12; Bring the Earth Indoors, May 3-10)

The GLOBE Program will participate in the first official U.S. National Lab Day (May 12, 2010) by encouraging teachers to “Bring the Earth Indoors” during the first two weeks of May. All GLOBE Community Members are encouraged not only to extend their GLOBE-based investigations by integrating technology, classroom-based tools, and inquires, but take this time to push the boundaries of your science and teaching, bring new resources to the classroom, or launch a project using the powerful tools provided by National Lab Day. For more information, visit the GLOBE National Lab Day page: http://www.globe.gov/whats_new/events/2010/national-lab-day/

Teachers may request help with a classroom science project and scientists/technology savvy people (and anyone else who has skills!) will be matched with schools in their communities seeking help via the National Lab Day Web site: http://www.nationallabday.org/. GLOBE encourages all teachers, scientists and able community members to participate in National Lab Day.
