NASA GRIP Hurricane Mission and Hurricane Research Website

The Genesis and Rapid Intensification Processes (GRIP) is an science field experiment being conducted to better understand the formation and development of tropical storms into major hurricanes utilizing the Global Hawk aircraft. Deployment is scheduled from Aug. 15-Sept. 30, with information on findings posted on the mission’s website: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hurricanes/missions/grip/main/index.html
